How will I work with a unique community to make a valuable product?

Masjid al-Mumineen Poster

This is the result of an opportunity to work with a community to make a product that was personal to them. I was given the chance to visit a mosque in Indianapolis to meet with a group there with the task of designing a poster to inform people about Islam and the lifestyle of Muslim people.

Deliverables

Project Description

This was the initial layout with simplistic grayscale colors and the default type. While the general layout would change quite a bit, the information stayed relatively the same.

Wireframe

This initial draft adds the colors with the established brand, a vector logo, a new font, and a new layout. This new layout features the illustrations indicated in the wireframe and new callouts within the paragraphs.

Draft

The final poster for the client updates the illustrations to be more visually intriguing, as well as working with the newly aligned text to help the viewer’s eye flow through the paragraphs smoothly. This, combined with the added shadows with the illustrations, makes a more striking look to leave a lasting impression.
