After viewing the 1954 film, I was excited to make my own designs for these characters as instructed. They had actors with specific looks but felt open-ended enough to have a bit of a spin on them. In addition to this, I came up with a composition that would take up an entire illustration board with the intention of having it look like a massive wide shot that peeked a bit above the water, while still showing the watery depths below.
