How should I give these handouts a refresh with updated info?

For this project, I had the job of taking an existing flyer and using it as the guideline for an updated version with a new design. The process of creation started with a simpler update that used a lot of the original design as inspiration, before leading to a different iteration that diverged a lot more from that original design.

This is the original flyer design I was presented with as a basis for a new flyer with a refreshed look and updated information.

This initial redesign mostly just realigns existing design elements while updating the information and giving the color scheme a refresh.
First Redesign
When the client stated they wanted to go in a much different direction, I diverged heavily from the previous design to establish a completely different look. The client gravitated towards this look when presented with it compared to the previous concept.
